Welcome to Pizza Cassette

Chef Chris &  Chef Jimmy established "Pizza Cassette" in 2022. However, they have been working together on this idea and dream since they met in 2014 at a hospitality restaurant in La Jolla: Catania Coastal Italian. Since meeting, chef Chris moved back east to Brooklyn, New York,  and managed reputable places such as Fornino & Robertas. Chef Jimmy stayed local and sharpened all his skills at local favorites such as Buona Forchetta & Biga. In 2019 both chefs, on their respective coasts, began doing mobile pop-ups with the well know Ooni & Gonzey Roccbox pizza ovens. Both chefs having success and once the initial covid shutdown had ceased, plans to move back West and join forces slowly became a reality. With a love and passion for music and food, "Pizza Cassette" was formed and the sky is the limit.

We specialize in wood fired artisan pizza.   Currently working off of Banks Street in San Diego. We are slowly building out our brick and mortar location. We plan to get back to off site catering as soon as possible. For now though, we do offer on site events on our 150 person patio. Stop by 5322 Banks Street to see what the all the fuss is about and grab some delicious, wood fired pizza. We also have live music Friday and Saturday nights from 6p-830pm.
